Syracuse, N.Y. – Onondaga County lawmakers will hear public comments on the proposed 2026 county budget at a hearing at 5 p.m. today in the legislature chambers. It’s the only public hearing before the legislature votes on the $1.6 billion spending plan.
Following a series of meetings last month to discuss the budget with county department heads, the legislature’s Ways and Means Committee made a couple of minor amendments to the plan submitted by County Executive Ryan McMahon .
