Assam Police have pressed murder charges against singer Zubeen Garg’s manager Siddharth Sharma and North East India Festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta in connection with the singer’s death in Singapore last month, as per a report by news agency PTI.
The two men, who were arrested from Delhi late Tuesday night, were flown to Guwahati under police escort and produced before a magistrate’s residence in the early hours of Wednesday. They have been remanded to 14 days’ police custody for interrogation.
