CLARKSVILLE — A former Clarksville police officer has been re-sentenced to prison for allegedly showing material from a child porn investigation to a teenage girl.

Michael William Tobin Jr., a former lieutenant on the force, won an appeal in June that paired down 11 child exploitation charges to five counts.

During a re-sentencing on Monday in Butler County District Court, the judge handed down a 15-year prison sentencing that mirrored Tobin’s punishment before the appeal, according to prosecutors.

The sentence consists of two concurrent 10-year felony sentences added to a five-year felony sentence with concurrent misdemeanors.

He will also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
