BOGOTA: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, said that India is now facing an attack on democracy. Rahul made these remarks against the Narendra Modi-led NDA government during an interaction at EIA University in Colombia. He also spoke about India's growing importance on the global stage.
"In India, there are many religions and languages and the democratic system ensures equal rights for all. However, now democracy is being weakened," Rahul said. His remarks have drawn a sharp response from the BJP.
