NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - On Capitol Hill, Louisiana lawmakers are at the center of government shutdown discussions.
“Obviously, we have a lot of differences between Republicans and Democrats on funding, but our bill we passed through the House keeps the government open while we negotiate those differences. That’s the bill over in the Senate. That’s the bill that Chuck Schumer and Democrats have been voting down,” said House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., from Capitol Hill.
