The last Saturday night of Michael’s of Naples, on Sept. 27, felt like the closing of the bar in “Cheers” — with neighbors and fans of the beloved establishment paying tribute to and enjoying the eatery for one last time.
All week, neighbors dressed up walked by our house — many carrying a precious bottle of wine to be uncorked while enjoying a great meal. At the semi-circle shaped bar upstairs, guests did an impromptu farewell toast.
