BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Bristol, Tennessee firefighter and paramedic Brandon Clawson died Wednesday due to a medical emergency, a spokesperson from the city confirmed.

According to the spokesperson, Clawson experienced a medical emergency at one of the city's fire stations on Wednesday morning.

"Although he was on duty at the station at the time, this tragic event did not occur as a result of a Fire Department call for service," the spokesperson told News Channel 11.

"We ask that the community keep all his loved ones, including both his family at home and his family in the fire-rescue service, in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate such a difficult and unexpected loss."
