YOUNGSTOWN - The Ohio Department of Aging (AGE) has announced that both Mahoning and Trumbull Counties are offering an expanded service program to provide care for Ohio adults age 55 and over.

These programs are made possible through Buckeye PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), who now has facilities on Elm Road in Warren, as well as Market Street in Youngstown.

PACE allows older adults who require a level of support typically found in nursing homes to access that care while remaining in their homes and communities without needing to relocate.

AGE Director Ursel McElroy is quoted in a press release saying PACE offers a wide range of options including medical care, home health, counseling and even respite care for families caring for their loved ones.
