BELOIT, Wis. -- The City of Beloit Police Department is investigating a homicide from early Thursday that left one person dead and one person injured.

According to police, officers responded to the 1500 block of White Avenue for a report of a shooting at 3 a.m. They located a 51-year-old man from Beloit with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

Another Beloit man, 41, arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound from this incident. Police said his injury was non-life-threatening.

This was reportedly an isolated incident that occurred inside the residence, where a group of people were spending time together before the shooting.
