JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An arrest has been made in connection to a hit-and-run crash in Jacksonville's Arlington area that killed 13-year-old Genesis Webber Tuesday night, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced Thursday.

JSO has charged Andre Myers, 54, with leaving the scene of a crash involving death without rendering aid, a first-degree felony, in connection to the crash.

JSO said officers found Myers asleep in his truck when they arrested him late Wednesday night.

According to JSO, at approximately 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, a pedestrian was walking in the 700 block of Arlington Road North when they noticed Genesis lying alongside the road unresponsive.

JSO Sgt. Hungerford told First Coast News the pedestrian then called 911, as members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Departmen
