AURORA | A motorcycle rider was killed Monday afternoon when he lost control of his bike and crashed in a curve on a southeast Aurora street, police said.
Police said the rider, an 18-year-old man, crashed at East Jamison Circle and East Smoky Hill Road at about 3 p.m.
“He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries,” Aurora police spokesperson Matthew Wells-Longshore said in a statement. “No other vehicles or people were involved.”
Sections of the road were closed for several hours during an investigation of the crash.
The man’s identity will be released later by coroner officials.
