PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - Oregon students have seen a slight improvement in their statewide assessment test scores, but those results are still below pre-pandemic scores.

The numbers released Thursday morning show a modest bump in test scores across the board. Statewide students increased by 0.2% in all categories.

English scores went from 42.8% proficient last year to 43%. Meanwhile, math proficiency scores went from 31.3% to 31.5%, and science proficiency also improved, going from 29.8% to 30%.

The biggest improvement was in 8th grade math scores, which were up 2.1%.

The biggest drop was in high school junior science scores, which were down 1.1%.
