SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Discovery Park in Sacramento is set to host the 13th annual Aftershock music festival, welcoming 160,000 fans from every state and 32 countries.
The festival is four days of rock, heavy metal, and punk music. Crews have been busy preparing the park, transforming it into a vibrant festival venue.
"It's nature we're working in and building a city," said festival producer Chamie McCurry.
Damian Monreal and friends traveled from San Antonio to see their favorite bands.
"Very excited to see lots of bands and finally see some bands that I wanted to see live," Monreal said.
He wants to see, "Korn. Deftones. Gojira. Just any metal bands, really, and just to listen to any other bands that are coming in."
