Yorkshire folk really are the most stone-faced in Britain – smiling less than anyone else in the country, according to a new study. While West Midlanders are the nation’s biggest smilers, flashing their smiles at least 17 times a day, those in Yorkshire and the Humber only manage a meagre 11 smiles. Londoners aren’t far behind the leaders, cracking a smile 16 times daily, while those in the North West average 14. ‌
