With the aim of adding some savvy, size and sandpaper to their developing defence corps, the Sudbury Wolves acquired 115-game OHL veteran Liam Ladds in a trade with the Peterborough Petes on Wednesday.
Sudbury general manager Rob Papineau shipped a fifth-round pick in 2027, originally Peterborough’s, to the southern Ontario squad in exchange for Ladds, a right-shooting rearguard from London, Ont. who will celebrate his 18th birthday later this month. Article content Article content
Ladds is expected to make his debut in a Wolves jersey on Friday, when his new team hosts the North Bay Battalion.
Listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Ladds was Peterborough’s fifth-round pick in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection, out of the Elgin-Middlesex Canucks U16 AAA program. He made the Petes in his fi
