A pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street on the South Side this week died a day later, officials said.
The woman, in her late 70s, was struck while crossing the street just before 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sidney and South 28th streets, authorities said.
She was taken to the hospital in critical condition with “serious head trauma” and died Wednesday, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety. She had not yet been identified.
The driver stayed on scene and fully cooperated with investigators, public safety officials said.
No charges had been announced, and the investigation is ongoing.
