Mumbai: In the latest episode of her talk show ‘Too Much With Kajol and Twinkle’, actor-turned-writer Twinkle Khanna shared a hilarious anecdote about late Rishi Kapoor which left guest Alia Bhatt dumbfounded.

Recalling a nostalgic birthday tweet from Rishi, which sparked bizarre rumours about her being his ‘illegitimate daughter’, Twinkle joked, “I’m not Alia Bhatt’s sister-in-law.” ADVERTISEMENT

“I almost became a Kapoor because of Alia’s father-in-law. On my birthday, he tweeted very generously, ‘Oh you know… when you were in your mother’s stomach, I serenaded her.’ So everybody thought that I was his illegitimate daughter. Then he got trolled and had to clarify, saying, ‘No, I am so sorry’,” Twinkle said.
