It has been a mixed bag for Gujarat’s Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) on the stock exchanges during the first half of the financial year 2025-26. While four of the state PSUs registered a positive growth, a similar number yielded negative or no gains.
According to data compiled from the bourses, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) emerged as a standout performer among the listed state PSUs, with 125.17 per cent surge in its stock price, rising from ₹265.35 to ₹597.50 between March 28 and September 30. A lignite manufacturer, GMDC is close to breaking ground for the first of its three coal blocks allotted in Odisha.
