Frantic 911 calls made in the aftermath of the fatal stabbing of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska have been released by police.
The 23-year-old, who was living in Charlotte, North Carolina, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, was travelling on the city’s light rail train when she was stabbed three times in an unprovoked attack in August.
In one of six 911 calls released by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, obtained by TMZ , a panicked witness can be heard saying, “This man just f—ing stabbed this woman for no reason. Oh, my God, he just f—ing stabbed her.”
Another caller struggled to relay to first responders their location.
“This lady just got stabbed… I’m not sure where we are… There’s a tall building… There’s a lady on the ground. She’s bleeding a lot.”
