DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — After three seasons with Duke men's basketball, head coach Jon Scheyer is further cementing his legacy with the program.

The athletics department at Duke University announced on Thursday that Scheyer will receive a two-year extension with the Blue Devils, with his contract now running through the 2030-31 season.

"Jon's remarkable impact over his first three seasons has positioned Duke Basketball for sustained excellence, and we are proud to ensure his leadership well into the future," Duke University Director of Athletics Nina King said in a statement. "He has delivered championships and national prominence, and he continues to lead a program built on character, connection and a relentless pursuit of greatness.
