The Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable has made a statement following a terror attack outside a north Manchester synagogue this morning (October 2).

Chief Constable Sir Stephen Watson told of how two members of Manchester's Jewish community died as a result of the incident, and four people remain in hospital with injuries.

The offender was fatally shot by officers within seven minutes of the initial call reporting the incident on the holiest day for the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur.

Now, the attack has now been declared a terror event . Two other people have been arrested in connection with the attack.
