Jazz Chisholm wasn’t happy that he was benched for the Yankees ’ Game 1 loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday night. The infielder hardly acknowledged the media as he had his back to them while he answered questions.
But he went home and blew off any steam to forget about the day.
The result? Scoring the game-winning run from first base in the bottom of the eighth on an Austin Wells single to help lift New York to a Game 2 win . He also made some nice defensive plays to help keep the Red Sox from scoring more than three runs.
So, how was Chisolm able to rebound?
“I played MLB The Show and I mercy-ruled someone,” Chisholm told reporters after New York’s 4-3 win . “That’s how I get my stress off.”
