Students in Detroit Public Schools Community District have a brand new space to learn hands-on skills like welding and advanced manufacturing thanks to the completion of the first project of the district's $700 million Facilities Master Plan.
The district this week cut the ribbon on the new Southeastern High School Career Technical Education Annex, an 11,000-square-foot building that contains spaces like a welding lab, and a Computer Numerical Control lab, which uses computers to complete tasks like drilling and machining.
