In a spectacular display of cultural heritage, Kota's Dusshera Ground hosted a record-breaking event with the creation of a 233-foot Ravan effigy. Celebrated as part of the Navratri festivities, the massive structure was set ablaze in the presence of thousands cheering the victory of good over evil.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the fair, noting that recent GST reforms have bolstered the festive spirit by supporting artisans. This year's tallest Ravan effigy, crafted by Tejendra Chauhan, involved over 10.5 tonnes of steel and 4,000 meters of velvet fabric.
Honored by the Asia Book of Records, the effigy surpassed the previous record of 210 feet. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also attended the event, affirming the unique blend of cultural legacy and religious significance that
