Zubeen Garg death probe: The Assam Police on Thursday evening arrested musicians Shekharjyoti Goswami and Amritprava Mahanta in connection with Zubeen Garg’s death. This comes hours after police said murder charges were added to the case registered to investigate the superstar singer’s death in Singapore , where he had gone as part of the Northeast India Festival.

Garg, 52, died on September 19 after he went swimming while on a yacht outing in Singapore. The two musicians arrested Thursday were in Singapore with Garg for the festival and were part of the yacht outing, during which the incident took place, officials said. Both Goswami and Mahanta had been questioned by the SIT for the last few days.
