MANCHESTER, N.H. —

Lawyers for victims of alleged abuse under New Hampshire state care filed a motion on Wednesday, asking to know whether a judge, who had been presiding over a Youth Development Center settlement fund case, is on the short list to be nominated by the governor to the New Hampshire Supreme Court, thus presenting a potential conflict of interest.
