A 20-year-old woman, whose “death" had led to her husband and in-laws being booked in a dowry death case, has been found alive in Madhya Pradesh after two years, police said. The woman had gone missing from her marital home in Auraiya district in 2023, about 18 months after her marriage. When she could not be traced, her family lodged a missing person’s complaint on October 23, 2023.
With no breakthrough in the search, her relatives alleged she had been killed for dowry.
