After more than a decade of drawing cyclists from across Canada and beyond, the iconic Okanagan Granfondo is coming to an end. OG Events Ltd., the event’s longtime organizer, has officially announced that the 2025 ride will be its final edition—closing the chapter on 14 years of community spirit, competition, and camaraderie.

Since its debut in 2011 as the Prospera Axel Merckx Granfondo Okanagan, the event has welcomed more than 25,000 cyclists to the scenic routes of Penticton and the South Okanagan. Over the years, it became a staple of Canada’s cycling calendar and a significant contributor to local tourism and community development.
