NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - North Charleston Police are investigating a shooting incident on Thursday afternoon after asking people to avoid two locations.

Officers responded at 12:21 p.m. to the incident in the 4800 block of Piedmont Avenue, according to North Charleston Police.

When officers arrived, they found an injured male victim. The victim was taken to an area hospital for medical attention.

An investigation is currently underway.
