A man has died following a horror lorry crash on the main road link between Scotland and England early on Thursday morning.
Emergency services raced to the single-vehicle incident near Gretna at 6.42am on October 2. Police subsequently closed the A74(M) and M6 motorways - the latter in both directions between the Scottish border and Carlisle.
The HGV driver , a man in his 60s, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene on the northbound carriageway, near junction 45 of the M6.

Several other vehicles were also affected by damage and debris from the collision, reports the BBC .
Police Scotland reported the closure of the A74(M) via social media, and advised motorists to avoid the area.
