HIGHLAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The fallout continues after Barberton High School canceled its Friday varsity football game against Highland High School.

Highland school officials said Barberton canceled the game because 10 of their starting players are injured and would be unable to play.

It’s a move Highland Athletic Director John Bailey called “unacceptable” to his colleagues in the Suburban League.

Bailey has since called for Barberton’s removal from the Suburban League.

He sent the following letter to fellow athletic directors and called for formal discussion in their next meeting.
