The season of a dozen designer debuts is in full swing. On day four of Paris Fashion Week , Miguel Castro Freitas staged his highly anticipated debut as creative director of Mugler. Back in March, the Portuguese designer succeeded Casey Cadwallader as the creative force behind the L’Oréal-owned fashion house. Titled “Stardust Aphrodite,” the collection offered a balance between old and new. Staged within a basement car park situated within Paris’ 11th arrondissement, plush fabrics covered the runway and seats. Guests like Gigi Goode, Pamela Anderson, and Naomi Watts came out in full support to bear witness to Miguel’s debut. Models emerged from backstage dressed in show-stopping pieces boasting severe tailoring, feathers, fringe, sculpted leather, and high drama.
