Two young women were left clinging to life and three others were hurt when an early Thursday fire swept through a four-story Brooklyn apartment building, officials said.
The blaze erupted around 1:30 a.m. inside the building on Eastern Parkway near Troy Avenue in Crown Heights, leaving the women – 24 and 26 – suffering from smoke inhalation and listed in critical condition, according to the FDNY and NYPD.
Both women were taken to the Kings County Hospital Center, while a 55-year-old woman also found in the burning building was taken to Staten Island University Hospital South in stable condition, cops said. 3
