BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — RESIDENTS CAN JOIN City Councilmember Lincoln Restler for City of Forest Day this Saturday, Oct. 4, beginning at 10 a.m. at 27 Willow St., according to the Brooklyn Heights Blog . Volunteers of all ages will help clean tree beds, weed, cultivate soil, add mulch and plant daffodil bulbs. Organizers say the effort aims to beautify Brooklyn Heights and support healthier urban trees. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
The two-hour event is part of citywide activities celebrating New York’s urban forest. Registration is requested for participants who plan to attend.
