In a football team’s never-ending quest to find multi-skilled athletes, the University of Regina Rams have the perfect candidate in Quinton Fettes.

Fettes is also a heptathlete on the university’s track team, so he can run, hurdle, put a shot, jump and pole vault in addition to returning kickoffs, making tackles on special teams and backing up Regina’s game-breaking running backs Marshall Erichsen and Christian Katende.

“If we had 100 Quinton Fetteses, we’d be in great shape,” said Jeff Stusek , the Rams assistant head coach and special teams co-ordinator, whose squad plays host to the University of Calgary Dinos in a Canada West game Saturday, 2 p.m., at Mosaic Stadium.
