The head of the committee evaluating pitches for a Lambton County grant program, aimed at strengthening local culture and identity, is encouraging people to make bids.

“We’re really trying to promote everybody to get on board and put in an application,” said Tracy Kingston, with the Creative County grant program committee. “Because sometimes not all the money is given away.”

The grant program. launched in 2013 to help new events and initiatives aimed at boosting culture and making Sarnia-Lambton a more vibrant place to live, has an annual $75,000 budget.

About $70,000 was given to 19 projects in 2025 , including a heritage bike tour in Sarnia, a VON student nutrition program, a public art mural, milestone anniversary celebrations in the county, Beachfest in Grand Bend and a Pathways H
