(NewsNation) — Megachurch pastor Robert Morris pleaded guilty Thursday on charges that he sexually abused a girl in the 1980s.

Morris, who founded the Texas-based Gateway Church, pleaded guilty to the charge of indecent conduct with a child in Oklahoma. He had previously entered a not guilty plea. Morris will be required to register as a sex offender.

He resigned from his role at Gateway Church after the charges surfaced.
