FRANKFORT, Ky. – On Thursday, Gov. Andy Beshear announced the latest round of funding will go to 17 critical bridge projects across Kentucky, including in Barren County.
According to a release Thursday, the County and City Bridge Improvement Program is awarding $7.75 million, supporting repairs, replacements and the preservation of multiple Kentucky bridges.
Of that funding, the release states Barren County Fiscal Court will receive $175,000 to improve a bridge on Siddens Road.
“Kentucky’s bridges don’t just connect roads, they connect our families to their jobs, schools and communities,” Beshear said. “While construction may seem like a hassle, these projects will mean safer travel, fewer traffic delays, and more potholes getting fixed. These are good things for Kentuckians.”
