DENTON, Texas — Aledo and Denton Ryan played two of the most significant high school football games of the entire 2024 season. They are two programs with as much history as any in Texas. And they are two programs that have become fast rivals since being placed in the same district four years ago.

This week, they'll meet in a pivotal clash of teams ranked in the top four in the state in 5A-Division I, in a game that will be broadcast on WFAA+, on Friday Night Football.
