AUSTIN, Texas — The Israeli Navy has intercepted a flotilla heading for Gaza, which includes a vessel with an Austinite on board .

On Thursday morning, the Israeli Navy stopped a number of boats as part of the Global Sumud Flotilla, which is made up of vessels from multiple countries with the stated goal of "breaking the Israeli siege" and sail humanitarian aid to Palestinians.

Austinite Greg Stoker is among those traveling as part of the flotilla. Stoker shared a social media post on X at 2:53 a.m. Thursday Israeli time (6:53 p.m. Central Time) that showed Israeli forces approaching the vessel he's on. Riders on other boats also captured video of their encounters with Israeli boats.
