One of the Tennessee Valley's most remarkable teachers is the heart of Dayton City School.

Tony Womac has faced huge obstacles, but has never given up, making it his life's mission is to inspire students, and he succeeds every single day.

When 5th grade students at Dayton City School first see Mr. Womac, they're not sure what to think. He's not like the other teachers. But that feeling only lasts for a minute or two.

He may not be as mobile as some teachers, but he always finds a way to get the job done.

His life changed forever while he was a UTC student in 1993 when a diving accident severely damaged his spine.

Some believed he would never be able to teach, but he continues to prove them wrong.
