Two firefighters have been accused of intentionally flooding a high school baseball field in Maryland over a disagreement about baseballs flying into the station’s parking lot.
Christopher Reilly and Alan Barnes have each been charged with three misdemeanors, including two counts of malicious destruction of property valued at more than $1,000 and one count of disorderly conduct, according to court records. Reilly is a fire captain for Montgomery County and Barnes is a firefighter, according to NBC News .
Both Reilly and Barnes “have been removed from operational duties and placed on non-public contact status pending the outcome of an internal administrative investigation,” Montgomery County said in a statement Wednesday.
