Two Joplin pet food plants will be closed by owner General Mills as the result of an effort to cut costs and improve the company's supply chain. Workers will be given a chance to move to other company operations in Joplin.
In an Oct. 1 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, General Mills reported that on Sept. 25 company officials approved a multi-year reorganization plan. ×
