How long is Brock Purdy out? Latest injury update on 49ers quarterback

The San Francisco 49ers won't have the services of quarterback Brock Purdy for the Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Rams .

Purdy aggravated his toe injury in the Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and was ruled out for Thursday night's NFC West showdown on Wednesday, which marks the third game he'll miss this season after he sat out Week 2 and 3.

Backup quarterback Mac Jones will take the reins of the Niners' offense for the third time this season, and he'll be backed up by former UFL MVP Adrian Martinez.

With Purdy's status for Week 5 now confirmed, we're looking ahead to Week 6 with the hope that the 49ers signal-caller will be ready to go then.
