SHERWOOD, Ark. – After announcing last year that international grocery chain ALDI would be coming to town, a date has been set for the Grand Opening celebration in Sherwood.

According to a post on social media by the City of Sherwood, ALDI intends to open on Oct. 22 with a ribbon cutting taking place the next day.

“We’ve received official confirmation that ALDI intends to open on October 22, with the Grand Opening celebration and Ribbon Cutting taking place on October 23. Stay tuned for more details,” the city posted.

The chain has added three other stores to central Arkansas in recent years, with locations launching in Little Rock, Cabot and Conway.
