BOSSIER CITY, La. — Local firefighters are taking their life-saving skills to the next level this week with a special training session in Bossier City.

The Bossier City Fire Department organized a major regional training, bringing together crews from across the area for a multi-day class focused on advanced car rescues, including large vehicles like concrete trucks and school buses.

Intensive make-shift scenario's were designed to prepare firefighters for worst-case situations they might never see, but need to be ready for. More than 60 firefighters from Benton, Shreveport and Red River Parish and more are participating.
