Back in June, the United States Postal Service told the Pony Express on West 8th Street they would be terminating their contract on September 30th.
Come October, the USPS has officially severed ties with the postal business after 37 years, coming to the store to clear out anything with their name on it, but first, they gave Pony Express a final offer.
"They did come back and offer us a new contract which was going to be 100 dollars a year to provide their services for an entire year when we generate approximately 300,000 to 500,000 dollars a year on their behalf. It was basically a slap in our face," said David Grab, Pony Express Owner.
