LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Department announced the partial closure of several Lincoln streets.

On Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the homecoming parade at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will close the following streets:

12th, 13th and 14th streets between R and Q streets

14th Street between Vine Street and Avery Avenue

16th Street between Vine and Q streets

R Street between 12th and 16th streets

Vine Street between 14th and 16th streets

StarTran routes 22-NIC City, 24-Holdrege, 25-Vine, 27-North 27th, 42-Bethany and 49-University Place will be detoured during the event.

On Saturday, A Street between Gramercy Road and 56th Street will close from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Lincoln Electric System utility work.
