The star-power wattage was turned up when South Sydney duo Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker participated in the men's draw of the 2025 Koori Knockout at Tamworth's Capital Theatre.

A record 165 teams will contest the 53rd edition of the four-day annual event, billed as the biggest Indigenous gathering in Australia, when it gets under way in Tamworth for the first time on Friday, October 3.

Walker, the Rabbitohs' veteran five-eighth, could line up for the Bundjalung Baygal Warriors at the knockout.

"I'm not sure yet," he said of playing. "We'll have to see how it goes over the next couple of days."
