The Des Moines School Board will discuss possible litigation related to the arrest and subsequent revelations of former Superintendent Ian Roberts' background during a special session Oct. 3.

Board members in a closed session will "discuss potential legal avenues related to recent events regarding Ian Roberts’ qualifications and hiring as Superintendent," according to an Oct. 2 news release. The board said in the release its duty is to "establish the facts and explore options to understand accountability and recoup damages."
